About

I build production AI systems — LLM fine-tuning, STT–LLM–TTS voice stacks, RAG, and full-stack apps — while completing an M.S. in Computer Science at Jessup University, San Jose (expected December 2026).

In practice I've shipped products people use — TurtleTalk, CREA, FrostySpark — not just coursework templates. Before Jessup I spent 4+ yearsas a Technical Support Engineer & Systems Administrator at Kenya Revenue Authority: uptime, escalation, stakeholders, and owning outcomes when things break.

Now: Teaching Assistant & AI/Tech Education Intern at CompassPoint Mentorship. Previously: Front End Engineer at DAST Consulting Services (Mar–Sep 2025, remote). I care about accuracy in what I ship and clarity in how I describe it.

Outside pure software, I'm tinkering with hardware and Tinkercad / 3D design & printing, showing up at tech events and hackathons when I can, and sharing photography (@iantoophotography on Instagram), posts on X, and writing on Medium — see Community for teaching, drones, and outbound links.
